Role:
To work closely with the Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Team, and Operations Team to handle maintenance planning and coordination activities for the department, including and not limited to parts ordering, work order management, preventative maintenance scheduling and other administrative functions to continue a continuous, efficient operation. The planner will be the primary user of the CMMS desktop software and will be responsible for ensuring accurate and complete information is recorded therein. Job safety is the first responsibility of every individual that is part of an operating team; compliance with safety rules, operating procedure, food safety, operating procedures and sound practices is the expectation for all personnel working at Sunrise.

Responsibilities - Maintenance Planning:
Issue work orders to technicians in CMMS system
Ensure information is complete on WO’s prior to closing
Assist with the development and execution of the Preventive Maintenance Program
Record and maintain history of equipment preventive /corrective maintenance
Using the CMMS, issue both ad hoc and recurring reports on maintenance activities to management
Develop SOP’s for preventive/corrective maintenance tasks
Create checklists for specific maintenance tasks
Contact equipment manufacturers to source new products and their practices related to each machine
Source and maintain electronic library of manuals for each piece of equipment
Responsibilities - Purchasing and Parts Coordination:
Order and restock parts in accordance to the purchasing manual ensuring POs adhere to the approval policies (i.e. maintenance manager)
Purchase order tracking and resolution of PO issues
Deal with vendor issues and inquiries
Manage and maintain inventory levels for parts, equipment, and consumables
Manage critical parts and spares to reduce downtime
Record parts and equipment updates
Source suppliers and alternative vendors
Maintain warehouses/parts rooms, keeping them clean and tidy
Data entry/processing in available CMMS software
Responsibilities:
Ensure accurate and complete information is being recorded in the CMMS
Follow job responsibilities as per BRC and other regulatory bodies
Be involved in the future enhancements to the CMMS programs and PM programs
Maintain records as in MSDS or future regulatory program, and ensure supplies and materials are approved for use in food processing environment
Other job duties as required
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is an asset
Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) is an asset
2-3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment (preferably food)
2-3 years’ experience in a maintenance position
High standards of integrity, energy level and self-motivation
Able to work with and maintain composure under pressure, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Highly organized and flexible self-starter who can consistently apply the facility’s policies and procedures
Strong communication skills (both verbal & written)
Proven ability to interact with all levels of business, and communicate in an ESL work environment
Proficient in the use of computer systems and Microsoft Office applications (Word and Excel)
Previous experience with CMMS an asset
Attention to detail and high accuracy with data
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to perform successfully with minimal supervision
Ability to work flexible hours as required
