Description:
ATCO Frontec is seeking Red Seal Journeyman Plumbers/Gasfitters A to join our ATCO Facility Solutions team in Lethbridge and Medicine Hat, AB.
The Journeyman Plumber/Gasfitter is responsible for preventative and corrective maintenance, inspections, modifications, and installation/dismantling of plumbing systems. The successful candidate must be willing to work after hours and on weekends as required. Tools, uniforms, PPE, work cellphone, and a company vehicle will be provided for work duties.
Responsibilities:
Conduct timely inspections, testing, and accurate reporting of equipment defects and deficiencies
Replace toilets, bathroom and kitchen sinks, and bathtubs
Utilize power auger for toilet, bathtub, and main lines
Contribute input for planned and scheduled work, and assist with completing the committed schedule
Aid in scoping, estimating, planning, and executing new work or projects
Replace hot water tanks and furnaces (40,000 & 60,000 BTU)
Occasionally install tiles around bathtubs or sinks
Ensure all installations, repairs, and maintenance are properly sized, aligned, supported, and graded
Guarantee all installations, repairs, and maintenance meet the requirements of the appropriate codes, as well as environmental protection requirements
Supervisory roles and responsibilities may also be delegated as and when necessary. Which will be based on the customer requirement and operational necessity
Qualifications:
Red Seal Journeyman Plumber Certificate with a minimum of 3 years’ experience is required
Class A Gas Fitter License is required
Must be able to pass a Drug & Alcohol Test, Fit-to-Work Test, and Extensive Background Check.
Must be able to obtain Government Security Clearance.
Class 5 license and clean drivers abstract is required
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Able to read drawings and blueprints
Ability to build and work in a team environment is crucial along with a strong commitment to personal and team safety
