JOB POSITION - EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
As a Business Development Representative, you’ll focus on prospecting and generating new business with signage companies across Canada and US. This hunter-style role involves both inside and outside sales, selling standard and custom aluminum sheets for commercial and traffic signage. You’ll report to the CEO and work closely with the Sales Manager and operations team to ensure smooth order fulfillment. The role offers a $55,000–$65,000 base salary plus commission.

Base Salary: $55,000–$65,000
Commission: Residual-based, focused on net-new accounts

Vacation: 4 weeks total (including 2 weeks during year-end closure)

Our client is a well-established company with nearly 50 years in the signage industry, recognized for quality, reliability, and long-standing customer relationships. With a lean but dedicated team, they’re looking to scale through focused business development and new customer acquisition.
OFFICE LOCATION AND SALES TERRITORY:
Office: North York (in-office, 5 days/week)
Territory: Canada and U.S.
EXPERIENCE, BACKGROUND & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
2–5 years of B2B outbound sales experience, preferably in signage, raw materials, manufacturing, or industrial products
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prospect and acquire new signage and construction clients via cold calling and outreach
Re-engage dormant accounts and uncover new revenue opportunities
Educate customers on aluminum sheet specifications, customizations, and applications
Work closely with operations to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment
THE PRODUCT / SERVICE / SOLUTION:
Aluminum sheets that are cut into different shapes and sizes for signage
Traffic signs, danger signs, caution signs
Light boxes for signs at retail outlets with company names backlit
Menu cards for restaurants
Lawn signs
LEADS:
100% prospecting/cold calling
