Your mission: Reporting to the Engineering Superintendent, this position will provide maintenance engineering and project management services to successfully implement assigned capital and major expense projects to support area teams. Emphasis is placed on project scope development, project approval process, and management of procurement and construction activities. Diligent management of the project schedule, budget, and scope is essential to be successful in this position. Projects are managed from inception to completion. Act as Project Manager for capital projects Mechanical Engineering support for capital and maintenance projects Contribute to asset life cycle planning and continual maintenance Assist with maintaining plant standards for mechanical assets Act as a technical resource for maintenance work order planning Your profile: Possess a Mechanical Engineering Degree from an accredited institution Professional Engineering status, registered with APEGA Minimum 10 years’ experience in an industrial environment; preferably in a Kraft Pulp Mill Valid Driver’s License Experience with computer maintenance management systems (SAP, Maximo, etc.); experience with AutoCAD; knowledge of ASME codes B31.1 and 31.3; efficiency with MS Project Familiarity with pressure equipment integrity management Valid driver’s license Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form with all levels of the organization Ability to work effectively in a team environment Good problem-solving, technical, and project management skills Our offer: Start: immediate start possible or within two weeks of offer Location: Hinton, AB Duration: 1-year contract with potential for extension Extent: full-time Competitive compensation and health benefits package Benefits: Learning & Development; Events for employees; Health benefits Get in touch: We strive to create a culture that inspires our people to reach their full potential.
