The Office of the Chief Investment Officer enables the Front Office investment programs to deliver on their strategy. The team supports the execution of the investments vision, strategy, mandate and operating models across the front office. Reporting to the Senior Director, Office of the Chief Investment Officer, the Manager will drive investment governance, core business management functions/responsibilities, and strategic investment initiatives. The successful candidate can navigate ambiguity to drive structured problem solving and has experience with qualitative and quantitative analysis to identify trends and communicate conclusions effectively. The candidate will bring an effective presence and the ability to drive projects and bring stakeholders together to work towards a common goal. As a Member of Our Team, You Will be Responsible For: Operational Execution Facilitate investment committees to drive an effective and efficient investment governance process Leverage sound understanding of the investment process to ensure meeting materials are compliant with respect to IMCO’s policies, guidelines, and standards to equip stakeholders with relevant material for timely decision making Maintain, update, and improve investment governance framework processes and documents, working closely with deal teams and partners across the organization Manage and report on investment transaction and KPI data to identify trends, draw conclusions, and report insights Support the investments teams in annual business planning, including understanding and communicating asset class strategies and their impact on budget/FTE requests Review operational reports for the investment departments to provide insights on budgeting forecasts, reporting summaries, and look-back analytics Support the investments team culture & engagement program, including planning offsites and other knowledge sharing and celebratory events Support vendor and subscription management and external data needs Strategic Delivery Support cross-functional projects as the front office representative for investment-related initiatives Support operationalization of asset class strategies by identifying, guiding, and partnering with investment leaders to drive organizational readiness to execute on new strategies Effectively communicate investment department performance in department-level readouts and presentations with KPI design, data integrity, analysis and data visualization Support other initiatives and ad hoc activities, as required What do you need to succeed? 4-5+ years experience in consulting, advisory, finance/investments Team player with proven ability to work and build relationships independently and drive results with minimal supervision Solid business acumen, including financial literacy Strong written and oral communication skills Experience with understanding the bigger picture, as well as the details and up/downstream impacts that changes/requests can have across an organization Proven ability to manage multiple projects with time-sensitive deadlines to deliver high-quality outputs with uncompromised attention to detail What IMCO can offer you: We thrive on the challenge to be our best, to deliver an unparalleled employee experience and to work as one team to continuously improve the management of broader public-sector investment funds.
