JOB SUMMARY We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Manager to lead our quality assurance and control processes. This role is critical in ensuring our products and services meet internal and external standards, regulatory compliance, and customer expectations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing quality strategies, managing audits, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and leading a team of quality professionals. Strong deductive reasoning, combined with the drive to execute and resolve projects, is at the core of what you do. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Maintain and improve OneUp’s Quality Management System (QMS) following industry standards (i.e. ISO 9001 etc.) Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, R&D, Customer Service, & Vendors to ensure product quality. Lead project management for large-scale quality improvement initiatives Own the quality department metrics, analyze data, and prepare reports for senior management Drive root cause analysis and lead efforts to reduce defects, improve processes, and ensure continuous improvement of current products Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and customer requirements Train, mentor, and manage the QA/QC team Gather customer feedback and coordinate resolution efforts with the Customer Service team Lead internal and external audits; manage responses to non-conformance and ensure corrective/preventive actions are implemented Own the vendor management program and ensure relationships and good quality are maintained Maintain document control and product traceability systems May be required to travel overseas up to 25% of the time SKILLS & ABILITIES NEEDED Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field (Master’s preferred) 5+ years of experience in quality assurance/control, with at least 2 years in a leadership role Excellent project management skills Experience in manufacturing and the bike industry Experience in working with overseas vendors In-depth knowledge of QMS standards such as ISO 9001 Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Strong RCA and investigation skills, ability to deduce effective solutions, and implement them Strong working experience with ECO, NCR, CAPA, MSA, etc. Excellent communication and leadership abilities Certifications such as Six Sigma, Lean, CQE, or CQM/OE are a plus COMPENSATION & WORK TIME REQUIRED The position is for 9 full-time days out of every 10; every second week, you will have an extra day off. The position assumes a Monday-Friday schedule with every second Friday off. 8 hours/day with a 30-minute paid lunch break. (36h/week average), flexible hours within reason and approval. The benchmark compensation for this role will be in the range of $90,000 - $115,000 CAD/year, paid semi-monthly, official offer subject to go up or down depending on level of experience. 12 vacation days per year, renewable annually. Eligible to participate in yearly profit sharing/bonus structure prorated for the first year, this will be evaluated based on the performance of agreed-upon goals and responsibilities.
