RVA is seeking an Intermediate Municipal/Transportation Engineer in our Niagara and Toronto office to work on a variety of challenging projects.
The individual will have the opportunity to work on projects varying in scope and size related to roadways and highway infrastructure design, including grading and drainage, roadside safety, geometric design, flood protection, stormwater management, storm drainage systems, watermain and sewer design and intersection design and utility coordination.

Duties:
Providing engineering and technical expertise on multi-disciplinary projects
Assisting in project management, including budget tracking and client communication
Participating in studies, assessments, modeling, preliminary and detailed design
Contributing to reports, drawings, and other engineering documents
Preparing designs for municipal road reconstructions, water/sewer systems, site grading, and stormwater management
Assisting in proposal and report preparation
Communicating with clients, consultants, and contractors under supervision
Supporting business development initiatives
Collaborating with project teams to meet deadlines and budgets
Prepare tender and contract documents, including specifications, quantities, and construction estimates.
Mentoring junior engineers and technologists as needed
Qualifications:
University Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution
5-7 years of experience in municipal design engineering, with some consulting experience preferred
P.Eng., or eligibility for registration in Ontario
Familiarity with hydraulic and hydrologic modeling is an asset
Ability to develop positive relationships with staff and clients
Experience in meeting project timelines and budgets
Good technical writing and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Some experience in municipal engineering projects and client interactions
