Job Description
The Dryline Operator is responsible for the safe, efficient, and high-quality production of paver and block products on the finishing lines. This role requires a mechanically inclined individual who can quickly learn to operate, adjust, troubleshoot, and repair production equipment while leading a team on the line.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership: Lead and guide a team of general laborers to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Equipment Operation: Operate production equipment to meet daily production targets while upholding the highest product quality standards.
Set-Up & Maintenance: Perform equipment set-up, autonomous maintenance, and preventive maintenance tasks.
Troubleshooting & Repairs: Use tools and measuring devices to inspect, adjust, and repair equipment. Complete minor repairs as needed and escalate larger issues to maintenance to minimize downtime.
Reporting & Documentation: Accurately prepare and submit all required production and maintenance reports on a daily basis.
Mechanical Work: Dismantle and reassemble heavy plant components using hoists and hand tools when necessary.
Shift Handover: Communicate product quality concerns, equipment issues, or other operational updates to relieving operators and shift supervisors during shift change.
Support Operations: Assist Production Machine Operators in daily activities and carry out additional related duties as assigned.
Safety & Compliance: Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations. Maintain a clean and organized workplace and wear personal protective equipment at all times.
Qualifications
Mechanical Aptitude: Strong ability to learn, operate, and adapt to new equipment, tools, and processes.
Industry Experience: Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment considered an asset.
Problem-Solving: Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify issues, analyze root causes, and implement effective solutions.
Leadership & Teamwork: Demonstrated ability to lead a team, motivate others, and contribute to a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities with the professionalism to interact effectively at all levels.
Work Ethic & Initiative: Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
Adaptability: Flexible, organized, and able to manage shifting priorities while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
Work Schedule: Availability to work flexible hours and overtime when required.
