The Position
We have an immediate opening in our Barrie location to work Monday to Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. We are looking for an energetic self-starter who enjoys a team environment. Our mechanics are responsible for performing inspections, preventative maintenance, major and minor repairs, modifications and overhauls on company vehicles.
Duties/Responsibilities
Diagnose, test, adjust, and repair systems of heavy-duty vehicles.
Examine, test drive and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems using standard testing procedures and computer diagnostic equipment.
Perform repairs and replace defective parts.
Perform routine and scheduled maintenance services according to manufacturer’s specifications.
Maintain inventory and restock parts.
Perform emergency road repairs as required.
Submit records of repairs and preventative maintenance to Fleet Administrator.
Perform other general garage duties as needed.
Qualifications/Skills
Must be a 310T licensed truck and coach technician.
Valid G driver’s licence is required. AZ or DZ is considered an asset.
Minimum two years related experience.
Experience with Ready-Mix trucks is considered an asset.
Ability to troubleshoot and repair problems of general and advanced nature.
Knowledge of tools, equipment, materials, methods, and practices of engine repair, mechanical and electrical systems and maintenance.
Ability to work in safe and efficient manner.
