Information Technology Technician- Full Time
London, Ontario
Salary: $57,400- $65,200

Position: Reporting to the Information Technology Supervisor, as the Information Technology Technician, you will be focused on supporting staff with technical support issues on desktop computers and their applications or service requests. Along with your team, you will handle helpdesk tickets virtually and may require travel to various sites to assist with technical support requirements primarily in London and surrounding area.

Hours of Work: Full Time- 40 hours per week, primarily weekdays 9pm-5pm with some flexibility.
Location: Based in London, Ontario with travel to Indwell program locations in London and surrounding area. Along with occasional travel to Hamilton for in-person team meetings. Mileage paid when travelling outside of local city office.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
Provide first and second-level technical support through phone, email, chat, video using remote software or on site face-to-face.
Plan and execute IT projects and initiatives, such as new hardware and software installations, system upgrades, network security, and system maintenance.
Technical support for PCs, Servers, Printers, Phones, security, and networking equipment.
Monitor and update system performance and security.
Assist in the training of users on new systems and software.
Respond to tickets, troubleshoot, and resolve problems in a timely manner.
Maintain detailed documentation of end user communications and problem resolution in ticketing system.
Coordinate with vendors and service providers to ensure proper maintenance and operation of equipment.
Escalate unresolved issues to appropriate escalation teams.
Follow up on ongoing support issues to ensure resolution implemented has been effective as well as communicate new developments to staff.
Assist in the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures.
Manage user account information, permissions, and rights, including groups.
Provide On-Call support for infrastructure related service incidents and follow internal management escalation procedure when necessary (team rotation).
Attend workshops or industry related events with the intent to stay on top of future services and technologies to assist in the technological security and efficiency of the organization.
Other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING:
A commitment to upholding and modeling the standards set out in Indwell’s Mission Statement, Statement of Faith and other operating standards and policies.
University or College student graduate in a Computer Systems Technology program or related discipline with minimum of over 3 years experience.
Certifications with software or hardware. (Nice to have or being pursued)
Support experience with Microsoft technologies and other tools - o365, AD, Azure, Server, Intune, SharePoint, MDM, Patching, Backups.
Excellent technical and troubleshooting skills to diagnose and remediate software and hardware issues.
Network administration, LAN, VLAN, VPN, Firewalls, VoIP
Cyber Security knowledge – EDR, SIEM, NDR, Vulnerability Management. (Nice to have)
Track down issues and break the problem-solving process down into easy-to-understand language.
Proven customer service experience.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work as a member of a collaborative team.
Ability to work independently, be flexible, organized, responsible, and take initiative.
Own vehicle, and a valid “G” class driver’s license.
Ability to travel to locations across Hamilton, Mississauga, Simcoe, Woodstock, and London, plus others in the near future.
