Must be available to work any day of the week, including weekends and holidays. SUMMARY As a Snowmaker you will work under the direction of the Director of Snowmaking & Hill Maintenance and the Snowmaking Manager to operate and maintain snowmaking equipment, ensuring optimal snow conditions across the mountain. WHAT YOU’LL DO Operate and maintain snowmaking equipment including snow guns, hoses, hydrants, and pumps. Relocate snowmaking equipment across the mountain, involving extensive hiking and snowmobile use. Comply with all safety procedures within Mountain Operations. Complete nightly work and maintenance logs. Accurately report equipment malfunctions to the supervisor. WHAT YOU NEED TO GET THE JOB DONE Must be at least 18 years of age. High level of physical fitness. Must be an expert skier or snowboarder. Basic mechanical skills preferred. Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with other snowmakers. Ability to interact pleasantly with guests and employees across departments. WORK SCHEDULE 4 x 12-hour shifts, 4 days per week. Shifts: noon to 12 am or 12 am to noon. Must be available to work weekends and holidays. WORKING CONDITIONS Must be prepared to stay overnight during road closures. Work may involve high stress due to winter conditions, night shifts, and commuting challenges. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Must be able to stand for long periods. Requires bending, kneeling, reaching, grasping, and repetitive motions. Outdoor work with constant exposure to cold, snow, and extreme weather. Frequent interruptions and exposure to loud noise.
