Q2 ALS manufactures high quality individual pump parts in the Oil and Gas Industry. We offer a complete product line of barrels, plungers, fittings, accessories and heat treated tubing needed for downhole pump installations.
Basic Employee Responsibilities

Position Specific Responsibilities
The Warehouse Lead Hand is a working position that requires in depth knowledge of the shipping and receiving positions within the Q2 ALS supply area. This position will cross train with the Warehouse Supervisor and will provide coverage for the Warehouse Supervisor in their absence.
SHIPPING & RECEIVING
Perform daily picking and shipping activities as needed to keep to required shipping schedules
Perform receiving activities to ensure quick turnaround on incoming shipments and outgoing parts for 3rd party services
Daily review of the International (Loc 12) pick slip back order report with the International Shipper and follow up as needed to ensure picks are current
Work with International Shipper as needed to prepare shipments for transport
WAREHOUSE SUPERVISOR COVERAGE
In the absence of the Warehouse Supervisor the following tasks will need to be completed.
Print daily pick lists, as per delivery schedule for Internal customers (CAN/US) and External customers (international-Loc 12), and delegate daily picking activities to shipping staff.
Ensure that by 3:30 PM each day all completed pick lists are entered into ERP system.
Ensure weekly assembly requirements are complete and clocked in. Ensure QC checks are completed as needed.
Manage Receiver to ensure incoming products are received, put away, and entered into ERP system.
Ensure incoming and outgoing shipping activities are accurate, complete, and on schedule.
Inspects loading operations to ensure compliance with shipping specifications and signs off on shipments to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Inspects material handling equipment for defects and notifies Q2 maintenance personnel or contacts outside repair service.
Call and arrange trucks for daily shipments and prepares required shipping documents.
Field ‘in-stock’ daily emergency orders from Pump Shops, as required. Communicate back to the originator if there is a shortage on requested items.
Communicate shipping status and delivery times to managers as needed; send packing slips and a copy of the bill of lading to pump shop locations as per daily shipping schedule.
Administration and correction of Branch to Branch transfer errors in ERP system
Report all nonconformities (damages, late deliveries, inventory inaccuracies etc.) to Supply Management group.
WAREHOUSE INVENTORY CONTROL
Perform daily put away process for Finished Goods from Q2 Production as needed to ensure parts are in Loc 01 inventory within 24 hours of receipt
Weekly review of the Loc 01 inventory list and identify items with stock but no bin numbers assigned
Review and investigate pick variances; generate necessary adjustments within the ERP system.
Cross train on inventory cycle count Loc 01
GENERAL
Maintain 5S working conditions
Ensure safe work practices are being followed and PPE is being used as required by the particular task.
Required Minimum Qualifications
Minimum of two years’ experience in Inventory Control/Warehouse Supervisory with progressive advancement in the field.
Strong people management and organizational skills
Strong supervisory, communications and computer skills
Experience in a complex and high paced manufacturing environment is an asset.
Experience with Information systems and asset management
Proficient with MS Office, Windows, and ERP system
Periodic lifting of heavy and awkward materials may be required
Extended hours working on a computer
