About Us: Q2 Artificial Lift Services (ALS) has 40+ repair and service facilities located across the Canada and the U.S. Our service locations are supported by a world-class manufacturing operation (API & ISO Certified), plus a highly skilled engineering and optimization group. Q2 ALS manufactures high quality individual pump parts in the Oil and Gas Industry. We offer a complete product line of barrels, plungers, fittings, accessories and heat treated tubing needed for downhole pump installations. Basic Employee Responsibilities Every Q2 ALS employee is expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner. Being responsible – on time for work and take breaks during designated times. Carrying out other tasks from time to time as assigned by a supervisor or request for assistance as needed. Position Specific Responsibilities This position’s main responsibility is daily machine maintenance. Performing corrective and preventative maintenance on industrial equipment in a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities: Daily maintenance on different types of machines (CNC Lathe and Mill, Bandsaw, Horizontal Grinder, Horizontal Hone). Shop and ground housekeeping – including landscaping / snow and ice removal. Perform outlined procedures for regular machine preventive/predictive maintenance program. Assist with installation and maintenance of new equipment. Conduct troubleshooting and repair activities for machine breakdowns as necessary. Responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the grounds; including snow and ice removal in winter. Uphold maintenance standards and recommend maintenance program improvements. Performing light mechanical maintenance, handle shop materials, basic janitorial tasks and other related duties. Notify appropriate personnel of stock deficiencies and tool/material requirements. Complete work assignments ensuring work is completed thoroughly and in a timely manner. Support and maintain the department lean initiatives as set out in system requirements. The team typically works Monday to Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm, but some overtime may be required. Required Minimum Qualifications General building and grounds maintenance exp Experience operating small equipment – Bobcat experience an asset Strong mechanical aptitude and proven experience in construction and maintenance are essential. Valid Class 5 and clean Driver’s Abstract Physical Demands Lifting up to 50lbs Working in all conditions outdoors and in a manufacturing shop environment where there may be loud noises and temperature variations Ability to operate small equipment Standing and walking for long periods Pushing, pulling, bending, some twisting in the movement of goods and material Awkward positions Note we do not accept calls/inquiries from agencies.
