Staff DevOps Engineers at Array are hands-on technical leaders who focus on
optimizing and enhancing our CI/CD pipelines to support rapid and reliable
deployment of high-quality products. They are involved in every stage of the
development lifecycle, from planning to deployment, and play a crucial role in
driving key initiatives that improve the scalability, security, and resilience
of our systems. Working closely with engineering teams, product managers, and
cross-functional partners such as UX, Compliance, and Sales, they ensure that
our infrastructure and processes align with business objectives, enabling
efficient, secure, and streamlined product delivery.
All FTE engineering positions at Array can and will be expected to be on-call
(rotational) after a training and ramp period.
YOU WILL:
- Be the expert on CI/CD Ownership & Optimization: Lead the design,
implementation, and maintenance of robust CI/CD pipelines. Continuously
identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reliability, and security
throughout the deployment lifecycle.
- Own automation & deployment: Develop and manage scalable deployment scripts
and configuration management systems that support high-frequency, low-risk
deployments.
- Cross-Team collaborate: Partner closely with engineering teams to provide
guidance on CI/CD best practices. Help developers optimize their workflows
and integrate seamlessly with infrastructure tooling.
- Mentor & enable: Act as a trusted advisor for both technical and
non-technical team members. Empower colleagues by demystifying DevOps
practices and tools, and fostering a culture of shared ownership.
- Increase developer velocity & experience: Continuously work to reduce
friction in the development process by removing deployment bottlenecks and
improving tooling and infrastructure to boost productivity.
- Focus on local environment support: Collaborate with developers to ensure
local development environments remain consistent, efficient, and aligned with
production-like configurations.
- Innovate with AI-Driven Automation tactics: Champion innovation in
infrastructure by evaluating and implementing AI-driven tools that enhance
automation, monitoring, and overall system efficiency.
- Maintain a habit of using AI tools to think, build, and ship faster—it’s your
default, not an afterthought.
YOU HAVE:
- Extensive hands-on experience in DevOps with a strong track record of
designing, maintaining, and enhancing CI/CD pipelines in dynamic, fast-paced
development environments.
- Deep understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud,
along with expertise in containerization and orchestration tools including
Docker and Kubernetes.
- Proficient in GitLab and GitHub workflows, with practical experience across a
variety of CI/CD platforms and tools.
- Solid experience with Infrastructure as Code technologies like Terraform,
enabling scalable and repeatable infrastructure deployments.
- Skilled in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Go, with a focus on
automating processes and improving operational efficiency.
- Passionate about building internal tools and systems that streamline
engineering workflows and improve developer productivity.
- Strong focus on infrastructure security best practices and a good
understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements in cloud-based
systems.
- Demonstrated ability to identify issues early, act with urgency, and deliver
continuous improvements through small, incremental changes.
- A belief that AI is reshaping work, you instinctively use it to accelerate
everything you do.
Pay transparency: $200,000 + for base salary, depending on experience.
