The Work:
Work in a hands-on developer role on a cross-functional team including other developers, designers, product owners, scrum masters, testers, etc.
Work independently on development tasks and coach/guide team members within area of expertise
Ensure team members adhere to guidelines/procedures on highly complex or large-scale projects complying with the software development life cycle and delivery methodology (e.g. agile/scrum)
Provide technical support for escalated incidents/outages to ensure that they are resolved efficiently with minimal impact to stakeholders
Support a positive work environment that promotes service to the business, quality, innovation and teamwork and ensure timely communication of issues or points of interest
Rapidly innovate on concepts via self-initiated proofs of concept, and connect back to user and business value
Here’s What You Need:
5+ years of experience with core web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), build tools, and UI libraries
3+ years of experience with React, including related libraries and frameworks/meta-frameworks
1+ years of experience with Next.js
1+ years of experience building RESTful APIs
1+ years of experience with Node.js
1+ years of experience with Typescript
Understanding of web performance, core web vitals and factors impacting user experience
Understanding of web accessibility and ability to implement UI compliant with WCAG 2.1 AA and AODA guidelines
A minimum of a high school diploma or GED is required for this position
English is required for this position as this role will regularly interact with stakeholders across Canada, US and other countries across our Global footprint where English is the common language. Due to the significant high volume of interactions with these English-speaking stakeholders, which is inherent to this position, it is not possible to reorganize the company's activities to avoid this requirement.
Bonus Points If:
You have experience working at an advertising/design/consulting agency or web startup
Experience with Nest.js and BFF/middleware development
You have experience working in the financial services industry
You’re able to solve complex development problems while striving to push the technical boundaries of online applications.
You are process-oriented with ability to define and ensure quality delivery of the development team.
Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation, based on full-time employment, for roles that may be hired in British Columbia as set forth below.
