Time Type: Regular Job Description : We're looking for a BI Manager, Operational Reporting and Analytics to manage and mentor a team of talented analysts. Your team is embedded within our operational squads and is responsible for delivering critical insights that drive efficiency and improve customer experience. In this role, you will be a key player in our agile environment, ensuring your team has the skills and support needed to succeed. Responsibilities Team Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and coach a team of analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth. Conduct one-on-one meetings and performance reviews, providing constructive feedback and creating development plans. Identify skill gaps and organize training sessions to upskill the team in areas like Tableau, Google BigQuery, SQL, and data storytelling. Manage analyst assignments to different squads, ensuring balanced workloads and alignment with business priorities. Operational Analytics and Strategy: Work closely with operational leaders (e.g., customer service, network operations) to understand their data needs and translate them into actionable analytics projects. Define best practices and standards for reporting, dashboard creation, and data visualization. Ensure the team delivers high-quality, accurate, and timely insights that support operational decision-making and performance monitoring. Promote the adoption of new analytics tools and methodologies to enhance efficiency and insight delivery. Agile Collaboration and Delivery: Serve as the bridge between your team and the product owners, scrum masters, and other stakeholders in the operational squads. Ensure the team’s work aligns with the squad's goals and the broader BI and analytics roadmap. Facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration across different squads and with other analytics chapters. Qualifications Experience: 8+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or a related field, preferably in the telecommunications industry. 2+ years of experience managing, leading, or mentoring a team of data analysts. Demonstrated experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment. Technical Skills: Expert-level proficiency with Tableau and Google BigQuery Strong SQL skills are a must. Soft Skills: Familiarity with data modeling and data warehousing concepts. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to translate complex data into clear, compelling stories and actionable insights. Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
