Master of Public Policy Program PPOL 647 - Achieving Policy Transparency January 12 to 16, 2026 Course Description: Complexity Seminars are designed to examine one particular type of complexity as it applies to many different policy examples. The applicant's area of specialization should be as close as possible to that of the course being offered. A survey of an array of transparency challenges related to public finance, central banks, trade, income inequality, climate change and access to information laws. Course is offered Monday through Friday, from 9am to 5pm. Teaching Qualification Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. • Teaching experience at the University level is preferred • Experience in public policy, policy analysis, politics, analytics, or economics is essential • Applied/industry-related experience (5 year plus) and academic research experience in the field • Knowledge of policy transparency and policy transparency challenges, and experience in the design and analysis of policies and implementation in actual government/industry settings, complete with a demonstrable understanding of the various complexities encountered in the policy process.
