The Granite Club is looking for a full time Service Assistant who will play a vital support role within the front-of-house operations. By working closely with Servers, Bartenders, and other team members, the Service Assistant contributes towards enabling the processes and delivering a premier dining experience for Club Members.

Primary Responsibilities
Create a premier dining experience that is refined and approachable through excellent food and beverage knowledge and the ability to adhere to and execute the specific restaurant's standards of service.
Engage with and respond to all Member requests and needs in a prompt, friendly, and professional manner.
Maintain a positive Member experience through all interactions, always ensuring attentiveness and courtesy.
Anticipate and proactively respond to Member needs and preferences to enhance their dining experience.
Work collaboratively and effectively with all restaurant team members, including servers, bartenders, kitchen staff, and management, to ensure a seamless and efficient service flow.
Communicate with the reservations team to assist with floor plan needs and table settings as required.
Support all aspects of food and beverage service, including delivery, presentation, and clearing, to maintain an efficient and timely operation.
Assist with the operations of food and beverage sales locations.
Maintain a thorough knowledge of all menu items, including ingredients, preparation methods, and any allergy or dietary restrictions.
Ensure all service stations, dining areas, and workspaces are clean, organized, and adequately stocked with necessary supplies.
Assist with general restaurant cleaning and maintenance tasks to uphold the highest standards of restaurant hygiene and sanitation.
Report all service problems, equipment and maintenance issues, and any other concerns to the restaurant management in a timely manner.
Follow all policies and procedures outlined in the employee handbook and service manual.
Demonstrate a positive, helpful, and courteous demeanor with all Members and co-workers, and actively contribute to a supportive and productive teamwork environment.
Be empowered to solve problems immediately and escalate to management as necessary.
Complete all operational tasks and opening/closing duties efficiently and correctly, including any other tasks as outlined in the daily side work checklist.
Duties Specific to Intersections (when assigned to assist)
Support all front-of-house operations as directed, including assisting cashiers, dishwashers, and other support staff as needed.
Maintain cleanliness and order in all public and service areas, including dining rooms, server stations, and any specialized lounges or sections.
Assist with beverage preparation and service for both Members and servers as needed, including coffee, tea, and non-alcoholic drinks.
Ensure all food and beverage items in display cases or service areas are properly stocked, replenished, and maintained.
Perform all tasks necessary to ensure a smooth and efficient service, including bussing tables, polishing silverware, and restocking supplies.
Required Qualifications
Minimum Grade 12 education & minimum 1 year related work experience.
Good working knowledge of English (Written and Verbal).
Valid Smart Serve Certification
Maintains a professional appearance and demeanor; well-groomed, courteous, emotionally mature, respectful, and sincere
Excellent communication skills for interacting with guests and colleagues
High attention to detail.
Ability to remain calm under pressure while working in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, lift and carry up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks. ability to push and pull service carts.
Strong organization skills and able to prioritize and take direction.
Understand all policies, procedures, standards, steps of service, guidelines and specifications
Availability: Full-Time Staff are required to have open availability including weekends, weekdays, holidays, AM, and PM.
