Summary:
The functional reporting for the Materials Planner role will be to Supply Planning Manager. The bakery crew e.g. receivers, cycle counters and line shippers who will be supporting the activities below will be providing support to this position for their portion of responsibilities laid out below.
Primary Responsibilities:
Plan, order and replenish materials at bakery based on the sales requirements using MRP system and other tools as required
Keep a close eye on expiring materials and delisting materials as well new launches and work closely with Sourcing and Central Planning team
Improve inventory accuracy at the bakery to 98%+ (RM &PM)
Ensuring Cycle counts of all raw materials and packaging items minimum once a period
Escalation of issues, when necessary, e.g., materials discrepancies higher than the tolerance, process discrepancies within the bakery, shortage of material etc. to Central planning team
Plan and schedule deliveries for all bulk Materials (Flour, Yeast, Oil etc.)
Based on the production Schedules and forecast, Plan, and schedule all palletized ingredients, packaging materials
Ensure accurate master data parameters maintain in SAP
Maintain appropriate inventory levels ensuring availability of material without overstocking
Own end to end Purchase order/Stock Transport Order creation and closing process in SAP
Ensure the Ing/Packaging is received by the Receivers in the plant by having proper quantities and batch code information in the system
Ensuring that the bakery production team maintains up-to-date and accurate information on the reporting system and escalating the issue when necessary
Act as backup for the Production Scheduler as required
Other duties as required
About You:
A bachelor’s degree or diploma in Materials Management, Industrial Engineering or equivalent
Strong communicator and team builder
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced & multitask environment
Possess strong planning and time management skills
Ability to learn fast, ambitious, and come up with new innovative ideas
Naturally curious and strong desire to learn and grow
Possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Flexible to work different work schedules when needed
Must have strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel
SAP experience is considered an asset
Programming skills are considered an asset
Positive attitude and a results-oriented mindset
