In this influential role, you will provide both on-site and remote expert consultation, education, and clinical leadership to clinical managers, regulated professionals, and paraprofessionals across Canada. You will lead Bayshore’s Palliative & Oncology clinical programs and ensure that clinical policies, procedures, and educational initiatives are evidence-based, aligned with professional standards, and compliant with provincial and federal legislation.
Through collaboration with various stakeholders, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing clinical quality and advancing clinical practice excellence in palliative and oncology care across Canada.

About You:
You are a Registered Nurse with advanced education at the master’s level, and you thrive in a remote work environment. You have advanced knowledge, certification, and experience in palliative and/or oncology care. Reporting to the Director of Clinical Practice and Education, under the leadership of the Chief Nursing Officer, you will help shape the future of clinical excellence at Bayshore.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead the development, implementation, evaluation, and optimization of the palliative and oncology program; this includes education, policy and procedure development, monitoring and communication of key performance indicators.
• Develop, implement, educate and evaluate clinical policies, procedures and protocols based on evidence-based practices, professional standards, and guidelines.
• Actively supports, advocates, and advances all components of the Clinical Practice Strategy.
• Facilitate a learning environment where evidence-based knowledge is translated via education and ‘train the trainer’ to support the Clinical Manager and optimize the client/patient’s outcomes and experiences. This includes identifying learning needs and developing education plans and activities aimed at improving clinical knowledge, skills, and competencies and supporting the ongoing professional development of professional and paraprofessional staff.
• Act as a resource and provide guidance to the Bayshore Business Divisions to ensure compliance with all relevant federal and provincial legislated standards of professional practice as well as internal policies.
• Acts a change leader to support and ensure revised and/or new clinical practice initiatives, and policy/procedures/forms are implemented and adopted seamlessly into practice and old practices/forms/policies are replaced.
• Provide an active leadership role in integrating digital health into clinical practice.

This role is Remote
Education
A master’s degree in nursing or in another health-related profession. Certification and expertise in palliative care and/or oncology. Current registration with the regulatory college within the province of residence is required.
Experience
Minimum of 5 to 10 years of clinical leadership, education, or management.
Advanced knowledge and related experience of the principles, practices, and methods of nursing; experience in the development of community and homecare and client/patient teaching programs; knowledge of theoretical frameworks and research application.
The CPL will maintain a home office, however some travel to branch locations throughout Canada is required for the position. The ability to speak French is an asset.
