Position Overview: Taking direction from the Production Supervisor, the Floor Service is responsible for coordinating and ensuring that operators are equipped with sufficient supplies and work to meet daily production goals, including sewing, down filling, examining, cleaning, and packing operations. What You'll Do: Review the line or section loading schedule daily with the supervisor to gain a clear understanding of day-to-day expectations and tasks. Review the job sequence and job specifications with the supervisor before beginning production for each released production order. Take ownership in the department by ensuring continuous work is supplied to the section. Communicate with the supervisor in advance if operators are expected to run out of work, allowing time to prepare for changes; distribute work fairly among all operators. Notify the supervisor of any issues on the line (e.g., machine repair requests). Maintain a clean and organized department, including cutwork and other production supplies; keep aisleways clear of obstacles. Responsible for taking panels or garments to be recut/replaced and reintegrating them into production promptly to stay on schedule. Transfer completed work to the next appropriate department. Take ownership of trims and threads, verifying them before releasing and returning them to central storage. Move the cut goods trolley from bundlers to the line. Perform other duties as assigned.
