Your Opportunity
As Stantec's Mining group continues to grow, we have an opportunity for a Senior Project Controller to join our team in our Sudbury, North Bay or Calgary locations. The Senior Project Controller reports to the Project Controls Manager but on a day-to-day basis works in collaboration with Project Managers and project teams.
Your Key Responsibilities
Collaborating with Senior Project Managers, Construction Managers, Project Planners and Schedulers, Project Accountants and other team members including clients, the Project Controls Specialist will:
Actively participate in the development of project estimates, proposals, budgets, resource plans, and schedules for all project lifecycle phases.
Provide Project Control support on major proposals and projects.
Fully understand the scope of the assigned projects, proactively identify and communicate potential gaps and risks.
Work closely with project teams to maintain a current and accurate understanding of project status, issues and changes.
Communicate effectively with internal team members, leadership, financial managers, external clients and consultants.
Produce lagging and leading performance indicator reports including earned value, potential change order logs, risk registers, estimates to complete, variance reports, etc. to enable proactive decision making.
Keep the project teams informed of barriers to maintaining the budget and schedule, offer recommendations for corrective actions or opportunities to increase efficiencies.
Work with Stantec financial team to oversee issuance of timely and accurate project invoices, follow up on Accounts Receivable and monitor 3rd party service supplier budgets and agreements.
Develop and cultivate positive relationships with Clients.
Continuously seek to improve Project Controls processes
