The RBC DS downtown Vancouver office in Royal Centre is seeking an investment-focused member to join a successful and growing Chairman’s Council private client & institutional wealth management business. As Investment Associate your role is to deliver portfolio construction, portfolio rebalancing, trading and allocations and investment research & analysis in support of our discretionary investment management business. As a valued and important member of the team, you will be compensated for your contribution and responsibilities to the business. Candidates must have at least 3 years of investment industry experience ideally dealing with high-net-worth or institutional clients. The role requires daily on-site presence in the office working together with the rest of the team. What will you do? Provide world-class service to our valued clients Conduct investment research Manage portfolio models by asset class (using proprietary internal systems and also in Excel) Conduct portfolio rebalancing (including changes to tactical asset allocation within bounds of strategic asset allocation) Conduct discretionary bulk trading, & non-discretionary trading and allocations Confirm, allocate and settle new issues on an ad hoc basis Liaise with various internal RBC DS and RBC Capital Markets investment research & trading teams Manage portfolio analysis and reporting systems and process Promote and support a work environment that inspires innovation, creativity and teamwork What must you have to succeed? Proven client service skills At least 3 years of relevant investment industry experience Exceptional verbal and written English skills Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university Commitment to completion of CFA program CIRO licensed as an Investment Representative (or ability to be licensed within 6 months as a condition of employment) Attention to detail and strong organizational skills Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote) Resident of Vancouver lower mainland and legally able to work in Canada What’s in it for you?
