Job Description What is the opportunity? As an Investment and Retirement Planning Assistant, you support a top producing Financial Planner, Investment and Retirement Planning in meeting sales objectives and related activities by providing value added administrative service and support. You will provide responsive client contact management through telephone, fax and e-mail requests, as well as, develop relationships with service partners to ensure operational guidelines are adhered to and transactions are processed efficiently. You manage office routines to ensure efficiency is maintained through availability and effective management of files and records by gathering and preparing material required for presentations, meetings, marketing initiatives, etc. The work environment is a combination of home office and branch, depending on the needs of the Financial Planner, Investment and Retirement Planning in the South Surrey/Delta Market. Mandarin language skills (fluency) required. What will you do? Provide superior responsive service to client fax, e-mail and telephone requests Provide superior responsive execution and delivery of client transactions/requests Determine key referral sources and have strong organizational awareness Demonstrate personal commitment to ensure skills and knowledge are up-to-date Respond quickly to client requests in order to build customer loyalty and trust What do you need to succeed? Must-have Minimum 2 years of demonstrated excellence in a service and sales support role working in collaboration with a sales team providing advice and responding to client requests Exceptional customer service skills Excellent communication skills, oral/written skills, good business writing Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office including Word, Power Point, Excel, Outlook Experience with emerging communications and technology (i.e., web based meetings, social media, digital banking, and mobile applications) Mandarin language skills (fluency) Nice-to-have Resourcefulness and able to work independently Energetic and enthusiastic team player who pays attention to detail Sales-oriented, self-motivated, self-managed and thrive in a fast paced environment Strong problem solving skills with a sense of urgency Knowledge of Royal Bank systems including Sales & Service Platform and RBCNet will be considered an asset What’s in it for you?
