This pivotal role is responsible for integrating insights from multiple sources—consumer behavior, brand performance, shopper dynamics, product feedback, competitive landscape, and broader marketplace trends—to inform and guide business decisions. Reporting directly to the BU Studio Lead, you will serve as the voice of the consumer, ensuring that their needs and preferences are embedded in every aspect of our business strategy. In this role, you will: As a trusted advisor and insights integrator, you will play a central role in shaping the future of Clorox’s brands in Canada. Your work will not only inform day-to-day decisions but also contribute to long-term brand equity and consumer loyalty in a dynamic and competitive marketplace. Strategic Insights Integration & Business Partnership Act as the central insights' integrator for the Business Unit (BU), providing strategic thought leadership to the General Manager and Studio Lead as well as all commercial partners including Marketing, Sales, and R&D Ensure that all business decisions are grounded in a 360-degree understanding of the consumer and marketplace dynamics Provide required insights to shape brand, innovation, and commercial strategies that are both consumer-centric and market-relevant Learning Plan Development & Execution Develop and maintain the BU’s annual Learning Plan, aligning it with business priorities such as topline growth, profitability, and Innovation Update the plan quarterly to reflect evolving business needs and advise its execution by orchestrating internal and external research resources. This includes collaboration with Embedded Insights, Dynamic Deployment, Shopper Insights, Consumer Learning Center & Sensory, and third-party vendors to ensure timely and impactful delivery of insights Support execution and understanding of internal market mix modeling initiatives to understand campaign performance and results, to allow for continuous optimization of investments Knowledgebase Management & Insights Generation Act as the steward of the BU’s Knowledge Base, responsible for managing, mining, and synthesizing existing data while identifying gaps that require new research This role ensures the integrity, accessibility, and richness of insights, continuously leveraging them to inform strategic and tactical decisions Mine, leverage, and improve the use of syndicated data and custom research, to deliver a holistic view of the consumer, category, and competitive landscape Cross Functional Collaboration & Capability Building Play a critical role in fostering a culture of insight-driven decision-making across the organization Build strong cross-functional relationships and promote the integration of knowledge across Clorox Canada and global teams Serve as a key connector between the BU and central Insights teams, facilitating two-way knowledge flow, sharing best practices, and influencing enterprise-level capability development Advise the Studio Lead on research needs and help secure and optimize resources to maximize insights ROI #LI-Hybrid What we look for: Years and Type of Experience: 10+ years of market research experience in CPG/FMCG categories (strongly preferred) Broad and deep research expertise across most facets of base/core brand, innovation, shopper, product, and competitive intelligence Broad experience across the full range of market research methodologies, data and vendors Strong record of partnership with senior business stakeholders across Marketing, Sales and R&D and evidence of influencing strategic business decisions/outcomes Skills and Abilities: Insights expertise - deep experience with insights and their application to drive business growth Technical skills - strong research skills and critical thinking ability including syndicated research capabilities Results orientation - focus on delivering business impact Synthesis - ability to integrate varied information into a holistic and cohesive perspective Communication - strong written, verbal and persuasive skills Courage - willing to speak up and advocate for consumer truth Growth mindset and ability to drive Innovation Ability to uncover and integrate multiple sources to craft an effective set of choices Concisely and persuasively deliver the right insights to inform specific business decisions Proven ability to translate insights into differentiated business strategies Education Level/Degree: Business qualification (BA/ MBA/ BComm) or BS with focus on Marketing, Market Research, Communication or Behavioural Science or equivalent professional working experience Workplace type: Hybrid Our values-based culture connects to our purpose and empowers people to be their best, professionally and personally.
