Accounts Payable Associate
Mohawk Medbuy Corporation (MMC) is a national, not-for-profit, shared services organization that supports hundreds of health care providers across Canada, as well as child welfare agencies and other public sector organizations. MMC provides value-driven contracting and procurement solutions for medical/surgical supplies, pharmaceutical products, local sourcing, capital (equipment, FF&E and redevelopment) and nutrition solutions. Other services include data analytics, in-hospital support, warehousing/logistics, technology, procure-to-pay, and accounts payable.
With an emerging focus on sustainability and reconciliation with Indigenous Peoples, MMC is actively supporting the creation of a resilient value chain that incorporates environmental, social and governance best practices. Based in Burlington, ON, the organization also has offices in Toronto, Thunder Bay, Kingston, Brantford, London and Chatham, and a distribution centre in Oakville.
We are currently recruiting for full-time Accounts Payable Clerk to support our Accounts Payable team at our Chatham location.
Position Overview
The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for a wide range of duties such as matching, batching, inputting a high volume of accounts payable invoices and resolving accounts payable issues with vendors. This position will also assist with vendor statement reconciliations and vendor inquiries.
Key Responsibilities
Completes daily accounts payable transactions, including matching, batching, and inputting a high volume of accounts payable invoices.
Assists with the reconciliation of vendor statements.
Assists with vendor inquiries regarding payment of invoices.
Maintains confidentiality, accuracy and attention to detail.
Ensures a friendly, cooperative, team based working environment that respects and values the contribution of all fellow staff members and customers.
Offers assistance and support when needed or requested.
Supports the team process with a positive attitude.
Exhibits professionalism in all aspects of business etiquette, personal appearance, and actions.

Qualifications and Skills
Minimum one (1) year post-secondary certificate in business or accounting.
One to two (1-2) years of related experience.
Fast and accurate data entry skills.
Excellent organizational skills.
Healthcare industry experience is an asset.
Knowledgeable in using accounting software.
Good customer relationship managements skills (internal and external)
Teamwork skills to work well in a fast-paced, time sensitive, and customer focused environment.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Solid analytical, mathematical, problem-solving and organizational skills.
Technical Skills:
Technical proficiency in using MS Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), expertise in Microsoft Excel is critical.
Other Requirements:
Ability to work on site at the Chatham office with the Accounts Payable team.
Travel
Ability to travel to Mohawk Medbuy offices if required.
