Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Perform prestart safety tests on an iPad and communicate any operational
issues to a supervisor.
- Safe operation of a forklift.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced computerized packline environment with a
strong work ethic to get the job done efficiently and safely.
- Ability to work as part of a team to pack, handle, and sort fruit (primarily
apples)
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to take directions from
supervisors
- Ability to maintain food safety standards - safety shoes, hairnets/snoods,
jackets, and no piercings or jewelry
- Perform shipping and receiving functions, including loading/unloading trucks,
tagging items, and putting items away in their proper location.
- Keep track of inventory movement, accurately record changes in inventory, and
ensure tags. accurately reflect inventory.
- Accurately and efficiently pick orders, ensuring FIFO procedures are being
followed.
- Cleaning of the presort line and area will be part of daily duties.
- Record keeping of daily bi washing output.
- Empty cardboard and garbage bins.
- Work in a variety of different climates. Mainly outside.
- Other duties as assigned
- Consistent reliability and reliable transportation.
- Work hours may vary based on company needs and could include days,
afternoons, or shifts as required. Flexibility is expected to accommodate the
business's scheduling demands.
Experience:
- Forklift Operator: 1 year (preferred)
Pay $17.20 per hour
