About the role
As the Advisor Training, you will be directly responsible for providing training and instruction to personnel for safe and efficient operation of equipment and processes, and for ensuring that training adheres to government and corporate rules and regulations, and to manufacturer specifications.
Key result areas in this role include:
Provide training for basic and specialty mill Common Core.
Provide training for mill process operations.
Deliver in-house training programs (e.g., forklift, bobcat, fall
protection, confined spaces, gas monitors, etc.).
Organize, draft, and facilitate training programs as required.
Act as a resource for surface operations on matters involving health
and safety.
Work in a healthy work environment with full support, cooperation
and commitment to satisfy our operation’s goal of being accident[1]free.
Comply with federal and provincial acts and regulations, and legal
requirements.
Adhere to all relevant corporate policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.

About you
As the Advisor Training, you will possess an Ontario Secondary School Graduation Diploma and be certified in Ontario Common Core and Train the trainer accreditation. It is also important that you have/ can demonstrate:
Minimum of 7 years of underground mining experience
Outstanding verbal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to effectively teach workers and transfer knowledge
Strong voice projection and variance, with good pace, tone and pitch
Able to clearly and effectively make presentations to large groups
Extensive knowledge of milling process and procedures
Solid understand of mine training requirements
Familiar with Occupational Health and Safety Act and Mining Regulations
Maintain confidentiality in all company dealings
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with others
Effective decision-making, problem solving and prioritizing skills
Strong attention to detail
Patient and tolerant
Articulate with clear pronunciation and accentuation abilities
Good written communication skills
Capable of following written procedures
Familiar with use of mobile equipment
Good working knowledge of computer systems, specifically
Microsoft PowerPoint
Able to follow written procedures
Good prioritization abilities
Demonstrated ability to set and attain personal goals and objectives
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Remains focused during challenging situations and applies tact in
difficult situations
Displays emotional control under stress
Positive attitude with an enthusiastic, outgoing personality
High level of energy
Maintains good eye contact
Action and results-oriented
