Nature & Scope → Your Role at Roots
We are looking for a Senior Designer, Accessories & General Store who is inspired by our heritage, committed to achieving results the right way, and eager to think big. This role is a key part of our Design team, reporting to the Design Director, Accessories and will lead the creative execution of all aspects of product development within the Accessories & General Store category.
The Senior Designer will build on our strong foundation, shaping a compelling product identity that aligns with the brand ethos while driving innovation and relevance across seasonal assortments.
Key Responsibilities → How You’ll Make an Impact
Design and develop seasonal Accessories collections and General Store assortments, aligned with the seasonal creative direction set by the Creative Director.
Translate initial seasonal merchandising plans into product assortments by delivery, ensuring SKU productivity and efficiency at the style level.
Create, publish, and maintain seasonal line plans for company-wide use.
Research and present seasonal fabric, trim, and material trends to inform collection development.
Collaborate with the Colour, Concept & Trend team to deliver seasonal palettes and direction overviews.
Prepare project summaries for the Senior Creative Team and Studio Head.
Participate in cross-functional seasonal briefings, financial reviews, and strategic pricing meetings to ensure product alignment with market and business goals.
Apply deep knowledge of product construction and merchandising to ensure both creative excellence and commercial success.
Qualifications & Experience → The Skills You Bring
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Fashion Design or a related creative field.
8+ years of experience in Fashion, Accessories, or related design roles, with a strong portfolio demonstrating both creative vision and technical expertise.
Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Microsoft Office; experience with Miro and Momentis is an asset.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and inspire across teams.
CAD development expertise for product construction and line presentations.
Proven ability to take initiative, balance creativity with business needs, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
