As a Sales Specialist focused on transitioning customers from on-premises Microsoft 365 backup (VB365) to our cloud-native platform (VDC M365), you'll lead crucial conversations that shape the future of data protection. Reporting to the WW On-Prem to Cloud Sales Leader, you'll partner with Renewals and field Sales teams to help customers embrace cloud-native protection and fuel Veeam's continued market leadership.
Responsibilities:
This quota-carrying role leads customer transformations from on-premises to cloud Microsoft 365 backup across 500+ strategic accounts. Working alongside dedicated Solution Engineers, Renewals, and field Sales teams, you'll drive commercial wins by demonstrating the compelling business value of the Veeam Data Cloud.
Key responsibilities include:
Drive sales fundamentals (pipeline coverage, forecast accuracy, win rates)
Execute on territory strategy and pipeline development across 500+ strategic accounts to achieve quarterly revenue targets
Partner with territory Renewals reps and AEs to ensure effective account coverage and pursuit team alignment
Lead customer meetings that advance focus on long-term benefits of SaaS over short-term transition costs
Design and negotiate commercial proposals that align with customer needs while maximizing adoption and revenue impact
Build and maintain strategic relationships across customer organizations to drive successful cloud transitions
Develop and drive a scalable "win formula" by identifying and documenting successful sales tactics
Provide strategic market intelligence and competitive insights to inform product and go-to-market strategies
Master our competitive positioning, market trends, and pricing strategies to win strategic deals
Mentor field teams on effective enterprise selling approaches for VDC Salesforce
Qualifications
10+ years enterprise software sales experience, with proven success in cloud/SaaS solutions
Fluency in English and French required, Spanish preferred
Proven track record exceeding quotas in competitive markets, with experience working effectively in specialist sales models preferred
Experience in partner-driven go-to-market models
Deep understanding of the regional Microsoft ecosystem and market dynamics, ideally in the data protection, data management, or M365
Executive presence with ability to articulate complex value propositions to senior business leaders
Strategic mindset with excellent business acumen and deal structuring capabilities
Excellent communication and presentation skills for both external and internal audiences
Strong team player able to influence without direct authority - expect to be personally engaged in strategic opportunities while also driving success through others
Willingness to travel up to 30-40%
