Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Structural Engineer with buildings (commercial, residential, institutional) experience to join our growing team in the Greater Toronto Area. Responsibilities & Qualifications DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Structural design and analysis for a wide range of buildings projects, involving steel, concrete, masonry, wood, and heritage building systems. Assisting in the preparation of drawings and specifications. Conducting site investigations to document existing conditions. Project Management of staff and clients on large and/or complex projects. Participates in the proposal development process and assists in business development/project pursuit strategies, or is interested in becoming involved. Support Team Lead/Sector Manager in managing staff and financials. Providing mentoring and guidance to junior staff. Maintaining involvement in professional organizations to keep abreast of new industry developments. QUALIFICATIONS (INCLUDING EDUCATION and/or JOB EXPERIENCE): Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering. P.Eng license with PEO required. 7-10 years of experience in the execution of residential, government, or institutional buildings projects as a Structural Engineer is required. Experience in adaptive reuse would be considered an asset. Proficiency with computer analysis software (e.g. RISA, SAP, RAM). Working knowledge of REVIT.
