Job Description and Responsibilities: We are currently seeking a Quality Control Supervisor to join our team in Regina. The Quality Control Supervisor monitors the production process in real time and works with operations to ensure products manufactured meets customer requirements. This position audits inspection and testing activities, develops special inspections for suspected non-compliant product, supports operations during production startups or helps with delivering new inspection training or written practices. Perform regular audits of shop floor operation and report findings Solve process issues and reduce non-conformance and escape rates Communicate daily and repetitive issues, escalating as needed Ensure “hot sheets” on current quality issue are created and reviewed with employees Review ITCL requirements Lead discussions with third party inspection personnel and EWPPC representatives on pipe quality concerns as needed Facilitate first piece validation at start of changeover with Operations Co-ordinate with product specialists to resolve ad-hoc pipe holds Requirements Minimum of five years’ experience working in an industrial (Steel or tubular) manufacturing environment, or in a supervisory role within a tubular or similar heavy industry environment. Good knowledge of steel processes and tubular products is an asset Excellent communication and problem solving skills Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; ability to learn other software applications Ability to work effectively with hourly and management personnel Strong interpersonal skills, ability to interact with individuals at various levels within the organization Demonstrate a positive attitude Our total compensation package includes amazing benefits!
