About the Role:
Amazon Interactive Video Service (IVS) is an AWS service that allows developers
to easily leverage the low-latency highly-distributed live video platform that
powers Twitch in their own services. The IVS Console is the primary interface
through which customers configure, monitor, and manage their IVS resources —
including channels, stages, ingest endpoints, playback settings, chat features,
and analytics.
As a senior frontend engineer on the Twitch Video team, you will build elegant,
responsive, and highly functional web interfaces that empower developers,
broadcasters, and businesses around the world to deliver low-latency interactive
video experiences.
You will work with our Video Engineering Team from Vancouver, B.C.
You Will
- Design and develop user interfaces for the IVS Console using modern web
technologies
- Work closely with UX designers, product managers, and backend engineers to
deliver seamless customer experiences
- Own end-to-end development of features: from design and implementation to
deployment and monitoring
- Advocate for frontend best practices including testing, performance
optimization, and maintainable code
- Collaborate with other AWS service teams to integrate shared services and
deliver a consistent AWS Console experience

TypeScript for building scalable web applications
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as AWS CDK, or equivalent
technologies
- Hands-on experience with frontend testing frameworks such as Jest and Cypress
- Solid understanding of Git workflows and version control best practices
Preferred Qualifications: - Familiarity with Amazon IVS APIs and concepts
- Experience with Backend service development
- Exposure to WebRTC technologies for peer-to-peer video and audio communication
- Experience with live streaming or real-time media using JavaScript or
TypeScript SDKs

The base salary for this position ranges from $150,700/year up to $251,700/year.
Salary is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related
knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of
compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in
addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
