About the role:
Rawson Group are searching for an experienced Senior Estimator to join our B2B & MD department. You will form part of a small, but highly talented team working with some of Australia’s largest developers supporting our diversification strategy and setting the Group up for success. Reporting to the Cost Planning manager, you will work on and be responsible for sales and production estimating for large scale residential Class 1 projects. You understand that partnering with internal & external parties is key to success, using your skills, you will strive to ensure BOQ's and relevant documents align, are error free and are achievable. We are searching for a candidate that will bring existing knowledge and background in B2B & MD ventures and hit the ground running with several tenders currently underway. This is an exciting opportunity to join the newly formed arm of our business that has a solid pipeline of work. You will be setting up and building foundations for growth in an area with limitless potential. Key Responsibilities:
Prepare accurate BOQ's for large tenders
Engage with internal & external teams to ensure tenders are accurate
Review plans, specifications & schedules with relevant teams to ensure consistency & deliverables are achievable
Manage documents & plans to eliminate conflicts or errors
Prepare, monitor & amend purchase orders for goods or services in accordance with internal procedures
Review and provide commentary on all ETS' to reduce and identify improvements
Assist project teams with requests & information
About You:
Qualifications:
Tertiary:
Construction related trade background (preferred)
Quantity Surveying qualifications (preferred)
Professional:
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role. Exposure to the construction sector is desirable
Exposure to B2B sector within class 1 builds (highly desirable)
Skills:
Autodesk Construction Cloud, Databuild, SAP or similar
Autodesk Construction Cloud – take off
High attention to detail
Ability to prioritise and manage self, resolve complex problems which may require the involvement of multiple parties
confident in making evidence-based decisions under pressure
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
