What will you do in this job?
Act with integrity, honesty, and professionalism that reflects the culture, values, and mission of Pursuit
Lead all BOH culinary operations at Sky Bistro, including à la carte dining, banquets, and group event functions
Provide inspirational leadership, training, and mentorship to the culinary team
Develop and execute seasonal menus that reflect the Sky Bistro brand and local ingredients
Adhere to financial forecasts and budgets; monitor and control food and labor costs
Ensure all recipes and culinary standards are consistently executed to the highest level
Maintain full compliance with AHS food safety and sanitation regulations
Oversee kitchen scheduling in alignment with operational and revenue demands
Ensure completion of daily and weekly operational checklists, prep lists, and line checks
Collaborate with FOH leadership to deliver seamless and memorable guest experiences
Build and foster a positive, inclusive, and diverse work environment
Support leadership development through training, performance management, and succession planning
Attend banquet and event review meetings; contribute to planning and execution of special events
What skills and experience do you need for this job?
Minimum 8 years of progressive culinary leadership experience, including at least 3 years in a Head Chef or senior management role
Formal culinary certification or equivalent international qualification (Red Seal is considered an asset)
Demonstrated success managing high-volume, fast-paced dining operations
Proven track record in menu development, recipe engineering, and cost control
In-depth knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in scheduling, ordering, and inventory management systems
Ability to thrive in a mountaintop operation with unique logistical challenges
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Computer literacy with hospitality systems (recipe costing, scheduling software, etc.)
Passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences through culinary excellence
Must hold a valid Canadian work visa or be legally eligible to work in Canada

Background in developing locally sourced and sustainable menus.
Demonstrated ability to lead multi-outlet or complex culinary operations.
