Reporting to the District Manager, the Operations Supervisor is responsible for creating a zero-harm environment, maintaining efficient day-to-day operations, and for the effective supervision of the field employees. At GFL we pride ourselves on being a great place to come to work every day, here are just a few reasons why; RRSP matching program Health, Vision and Dental Coverage Employee Assistance Programs Life Insurance Paid vacation Key Accountabilities Act as a first point of contact on all assigned projects at the branch Take ownership and constantly look for ways to improve Safety Performance Develop and perform job task assessments (JTO’s), Field Level Hazard Assessments (FLHA’s) and Safe Work Procedures (SWP’s) to drive Safety Performance Report all incidents, safety infractions, non-compliance issues and participate in the investigation and development of corrective actions Ensure on-site operations are conducted in accordance with corporate policies and procedures within permit conditions and to customer specifications Supervise daily activities to ensure project targets are met Estimate project costs for tender purposes Responsible for monthly revenue forecasts Develop and execute work plans aimed at keeping projects on schedule and on budget Support continual improvement initiatives such as the invoicing process through the company operational management system (OMS) Assist with project planning and scheduling under guidance of manager Other operational tasks as assigned Some overnight travel required Experience, Qualifications & Education Diploma in a Technical field is desired Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, word, excel, etc) or Google Workspace Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy Proven ability to multi-task & ability to organize and prioritize tasks We thank you for your interest.
