Company: Finning Canada Number of Openings: 1 Worker Type: Permanent Position Overview: As a Senior Customer Account Representative – Oilsands and Mining for Finning Canada, you will play a key role that is responsible for assisting customers and branch employees with credit account inquiries and requests. This role focuses on collection of past due accounts and mitigating the risks associated with extending credit through proper and regular review of customers’ accounts for our large producing customers. The Senior Customer Account Representative ensures that corporate policies and guidelines are followed with all credit and collection processes while delivering a high level of customer service that supports business and sales strategic objective. You are also responsible in assisting design processes and identifying improvement areas with the branches and mining customers to facilitate and organize prompt services in payment and payment process. The ideal candidate brings a minimum of 5 years of strong corporate collections experience along with an Operational background. You are known to work very independently and have a strong focus on process improvement. You may even have a desire to move into a leadership role one day. Job Description: Major Job Responsibilities: Customer Centricity Works with a diverse group of customers both internal and external to Finning Leads meetings to resolve issues with both internal and external Customers while building strong working relationships Work with internal and external customers to receive payment timely and achieve collection targets Works with Customers to get transactions processed in Customers’ system and payments made to Finning Working with both external and internal contacts to resolve any billing disputes Process development Identify and resolve process gaps with both internal and external customers Strong working knowledge of both our system and associated processes and our customers’ systems and process to identify opportunities to streamline work flow between our two businesses. Engage internal and external partners when systems or processes are charges to ensure payments still flow Come up with alternate processes with branches and customer – when system issues come up Work with Branches to ensure contract compliance, when it comes to billing and entry timelines Weekly, monthly, quarterly reconciliations to identify areas that require improvement (Internally) to decrease aged AR Communication Build/Create custom reports for each customer or for internal customers (Branch Managers, GMs) as requested. Build/Create custom reports for the Branch Managers and GMs Lead monthly, weekly meetings with the branches to get issues resolved Qualifications: Post-secondary education in a related discipline Minimum 5+ years of high-volume corporate collections experience preferably in Mining Extensive knowledge of credit and finance principles Proficient in MS Office applications and knowledge of M3, CDMS, SAP or other ERP Systems Strong experience with Reconciliation and Accounts Receivable Customer facing experience involving customer escalation Leadership and direct and indirect supervisory capabilities Strong analytical skills Communication skills including but not limited to presentations, listening, written and verbal Exceptional organizational, conflict management, and time management abilities Able to work in a diverse environment with or without supervision Strong work ethic and self-driven At Finning, we prioritize creating a diverse and inclusive environment.
