Job Description: The Solution Specialist, Information Security will play a key role in safeguarding The Salvation Army's sensitive and mission-critical data. This position is part of an Information Security team and will be responsible for a wide range of security functions including threat detection and response, vulnerability management, security awareness, and compliance support. The role also contributes to strategic initiatives such as cloud security, identity protection, and policy development. Key Accountabilities Monitor and triage security alerts across endpoints, servers, firewalls, networks and security tools. Investigate anomalies and threats to determine root cause and impact. Lead or support incident response, including containment and recovery. Deliver actionable threat intelligence to improve detection and prevention. Perform vulnerability assessments and security reviews across systems. Collaborate with teams to prioritize and remediate risks. Track and ensure timely resolution of security issues. Stay current on emerging threats and vulnerabilities. Design and manage security controls for cloud and identity platforms. Ensure secure configuration and continuous monitoring of cloud/SaaS environments. Align cloud security practices with policies and standards. Contribute to the development and maintenance of security policies, procedures, and playbooks. Support compliance efforts (e.g., PCI DSS, regulatory frameworks). Maintain audit-ready documentation and evidence. Promote alignment of security practices with business goals. Deliver engaging security awareness programs. Advise internal teams on secure architecture and operations. Assist with security projects and technology rollouts. Support penetration testing and follow-up remediation. Key Skills and Experience: Diploma or university degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CEH, or Security+ are strongly preferred. 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity or information security roles. Strong understanding of security technologies and threat landscapes. Experience with cloud security, identity protection, and vulnerability management. Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as PCI DSS, NIST, or ISO 27001. Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Compensation: The target hiring range for this position is $100,390.71 to $125,488.38 with a maximum of $150,586.06. Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
