Overview
The Senior Manager of Warehouse Systems & Digitalization is a strategic leader
responsible for transforming our warehouse operations through technology and
process innovation. In this role, you will oversee the digitization of warehouse
workflows, focusing on reducing manual processes, transitioning paper-based
tasks to digital systems, and implementing modern inventory tracking
technologies.
Your mission is to build and maintain the digital infrastructure for our
fulfillment operations, managing Warehouse Management System (WMS)
implementation, deploying barcode/RFID systems, and capturing real-time data to
optimize efficiency. Working closely with the operations team and product/tech
teams, you’ll ensure a smarter, data-driven warehouse ready to scale to
additional locations.
***This is an on-site role at our warehouse facility, requiring hands-on
collaboration with the team to pilot innovative technologies and drive system
improvements for peak performance.
About the Job
- Lead Warehouse Digitalization: Own the end-to-end strategy for modernizing
warehouse operations through technology, reducing manual workflows and
scaling systems for future expansion.
- Optimize Workflows: Replace paper-based processes with efficient digital
workflows across receiving, inventory management, packing, and shipping.
- Implement & Manage WMS: Lead the selection, rollout, and daily management of
Warehouse Management Systems, ensuring real-time inventory tracking and
operational visibility.
- Deploy Barcode/Scanning Tools: Introduce barcode or RFID systems to automate
tracking and eliminate human error in inventory handling.
- Integrate Systems: Partner with IT/Product teams to connect WMS with ERP
systems, order management tools, and internal dashboards.
- Train & Support Teams: Develop SOPs, train staff on new tools, and oversee
adoption efforts on the warehouse floor.
- Drive Continuous Improvement: Use data insights to monitor performance,
identify inefficiencies, and deliver system-driven solutions.
- Pilot New Tech: Explore and test emerging warehouse technologies (e.g.,
automation, IoT, wearables) to enhance speed, accuracy, and scalability.
- Support Growth: Standardize systems and processes to enable seamless
expansion to a second warehouse location and beyond.
About You
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in warehouse operations or supply chain, with a strong
focus on systems or digital transformation.
- Hands-on experience with WMS—implementation, optimization, and daily
management.
- Familiarity with barcode/RFID systems and basic systems integration (e.g.,
ERP, APIs).
- Strong analytical skills, comfortable using Excel, reports, or dashboards to
track performance and spot inefficiencies.
- Proven project management skills, with experience successfully leading
cross-functional system rollouts.
- Effective communication skills, working seamlessly with both warehouse teams
and technical stakeholders.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, hands-on environments with shifting
priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading a full warehouse technology rollout (WMS, barcode
scanning, automation, etc.).
- Certifications such as Six Sigma, PMP, or related credentials.
- Experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker).
- Basic coding or scripting knowledge (e.g., SQL, Python).
- Experience supporting multi-location warehouse operations.
