Your Opportunity
Stantec's GTA based team is currently seeking a Transportation Engineering Professional
Senior Project Manager to join our team of project managers, technical staff, and multi-discipline specialists in the completion of environmental assessment, preliminary and detail design of transportation infrastructure projects. You will lead a team of professionals in the planning, design and construction of large-scale municipal projects in our growing roads and transit-based sector. The projects will be in various phases from environmental assessments and conceptual planning, through design, construction, and occupancy.
Your Key Responsibilities
Manage multiple projects as a PM for Environmental Assessments and Detailed Design Projects. Managing the approved scope, budget and schedule are of utmost importance.
Lead the Design Team consisting of the Engineers, Scientists, Planners, Coordinators, Schedulers, and other consultants.
Create innovative ideas and approaches to re-evaluate and improve our business.
Promoting and overseeing our safety program and overall safety culture.
Day-to-day project oversight and communication with the client and project team.
Develop, track, update, forecast and modify the project schedule and budget throughout all phases of the project.
Review and track all contracts, invoices, and payments to all contractors, consultants, and equipment vendors.
Leadership and oversite of our safety program, quality reviews, plan reviews and inspections.
Understand and assist in the negotiation of contracts of all parties to the project.
Oversee approval of all invoices and change orders associated with the project.
Evaluate, advise on and assist in resolving disputes and claims.
Regular collaboration with colleagues in our multi-disciplined design office
Financial management of projects and resource allocation
Business development support and leading proposal development.
