What it’s like to be a Northbridge Data Operations Engineer The Data Operations Engineer II will act as the prime point of contact for the enterprise’s data analytics platform and database administration across Northbridge data environments. The Data Operations Engineer II manages data analytics infrastructure & data applications hosted in both Unix & Windows environments (both on premise and on cloud). The Data Operations Engineer II will also be responsible for database administration of multi-platform RDBMS such as Microsoft SQL Server, Snowflake, Progress, PostgreSQL, MySQL , DB2 etc. as required. This role focuses on researching new data management technologies and proactive monitoring & critical troubleshooting of applications/databases. We want your talent! If you are great at: Interface with business systems analysts, solution designers, data architects, and other business stakeholders to understand the business requirements. Design, develop, and provide Date Operations solutions using third party applications. Participate in daily operations and functionality of Data Operations solutions and applications. Provide technical leadership to a Data Operations team ensuring a high-level of reliability and availability for data operations systems. Ongoing training, career development, and mentorship of team members. If you have: Post-Secondary Education (Computer Science or Computer Engineering degree is preferred) or equivalent on the job experience. 8+ years’ experience in database design administration and data modelling with strong focus in all versions of SQL Server; SSIS/SSAS/SSRS/MDS technologies, Azure MI, Progress and PostgreSQL on both on premise and Azure cloud environments. 8+ years’ IT experience. 8+ years’ experience of scripting in Windows or PowerShell and Unix shell.
