Job Description
This is a Monday to Friday Dayshift 7:00 AM To 3:30 PM
Tracing of Freight involves looking for missing freight, researching Proof of Delivery (POD) and Bill of Lading (B/L) documents, and determining the exact delivery time for shipments.
Requests by customers and terminals via phone calls or emails
Gathering information on shortages, no pros, no goods, etc, and finding common issues to report to the Terminal Manager.
Calling the customer with exceptions to verify possible damages, shortages, re-routing, and various other duties as requested by the customer regarding delivery problems.
Obtaining return authorizations from customers or authorizations to reroute or re-deliver as required. Obtaining phone numbers, confirming terms, etc.
Camera checks for missing freight
Answering emails within 45 minutes
Dealing with upset customers
Qualifications
• Pleasant mannerism is required
• Well organized
• Ability to work unsupervised
• Knowledge of computers and typing skills are essential
• Excellent data entry and listening/communicating skills
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task
• Ability to handle stressful situations and keep calm
• Team player
• Excellent communication skills, both orally & written
• Providing customers with excellent customer service and escalating issues
