Advanced Bending Technologies is looking for an experienced and energetic Coater to join our Paint department in Calgary Alberta.

The Coater/Industrial Painter is responsible for prepping, blasting and painting metal pipes and other materials
Essential Functions for this Role are:
- Prep and Paint various products
- Read specifications and painting instructions
- Ensure work meets process requirements and quality control standards
- Prepare and mix required paint and coating materials using 2 component paints
- Ensure all health and safety policies are followed
- Work in accordance with documented procedures and complete all applicable records
Experience, Qualifications, and Skills required:

5 years paint/coating experience
-
NACE or AMP certification as asset

Blasting experience required
-
Patching and repairing paint
-
100% solid spray
-
Experience with epoxies, urethanes and zincs
-
Minimally able to operate a king pump 45:1 and up, use a conventional/pressure pot, Cup gun, and operate a Graco XM 70 plural component pump

Able to operate an HPX3, and needs to be well versed and comfortable with this pump as well as spraying polyurethane

Read and understand processing, handling and application requirements for all Paint Materials and Coating

Knowledge of OHS legislation

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Punctuality is essential for scheduled work shifts,

Able to re-prioritize work/tasks in progress and complete assigned tasks efficiently

Intermediate computer skills with experience using Microsoft Office Suite

Self-Motivated and able to work unsupervised for extended periods of time

Comfortable around equipment, Flipping bends, and hot/cold bending environments

Comfortable working in confined spaces

Forklift certification an asset
