RBC is recruiting for a Research Analyst Intern to work on the Client Experience Design and Insights team with an interest for a number of research initiatives. In this role you will support Research & Design Experts with a number of client experience research studies. The role will be responsible in supporting the day to day functions including interpretation and integration of client data and research findings that supports opportunities for revenue growth and RBC competitiveness in the marketplace. The right candidate will have an interest in learning about creating optimal client experiences through qualitative research methods. A background in finance/business is not required - the team of researchers come from a variety of educational backgrounds and experiences. What will you do? Support the delivery of end to end qualitative research projects including research design, fieldwork, analysis, reporting, and project management and coordination Coordinate stimuli & project inputs Provide iterative support on proposals, discussion guides, reports, and frameworks Conduct secondary research using a variety of sources to support primary research Collaborate with other CXDI Analyst Interns for the execution of an intern project Provide support for CXDI Design Research team for quantitative projects on an ad hoc basis Attend client meetings and presentations, including note-taking and active listening Learn about ethnographic research, applied qualitative research methods, and research design Learn about client business and industry issues via primary and secondary sources What do you need to succeed? Must-have Experience with PowerPoint and Excel Knowledge on a wide range of research techniques covering both qualitative and quantitative areas Keen interest in diving deep into ethnographic & qualitative research methods Highly organized and detailed-oriented with proven project management skills Intellectually curious with superior problem solving skills Collaborative skills in a cross-functional and information sharing environment Ability to function in a fast pace environment with the ability to quickly pivot Nice-to-have Social science background (or equivalent interest in consumer behaviour) Experience with online qualitative tools/methods (programming or moderating) Experience moderating face to face 1-on-1 interviews or focus groups What’s in it for you?
