SUMMARY
THE ASSISTANT FOOD & BEVERAGE MANAGER ASSISTS THE FOOD AND BEVERAGE MANAGER IN MANAGING THE DEPARTMENT TO ENSURE SUPERIOR GUEST SATISFACTION. THE ASSISTANT FOOD & BEVERAGE MANAGER WILL ASSIST IN OVERSEEING THE OVERALL FOOD AND BEVERAGE OPERATIONS AT THE CASINO.

JOB DUTIES
- Assist the Food and Beverage Manager in managing the department to ensure superior guest satisfaction
- Responsible for supervising junior employees, building morale, and fostering an environment of co-operation and efficiency
- Required to assist in the assessment of goals, performance and development for junior staff and generally help to ensure that team members are meeting business and client needs
- Assist in preparing budgets, cost, and revenue projections, purchasing plans, staffing plans and schedules
REQUIREMENTS
- 3+ years’ experience managing a large Food and Beverage operation (casino preferred but not required), including previous supervisory experience. Serving & Bartending experience.
- ProServe is a requirement for the role
- Computer knowledge is a definite asset
- Professional Appearance
- Organized and can work under pressure
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to develop rapport with guests by providing them with service and respect
- Ability to liaise effectively with other department managers in the casino
- Capable of resolving disputes or complaints quickly and effectively
WORK CONDITIONS
- Must be able to stand for a prolonged time
- Pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, upward reaching and prolonged periods of standing and/or walking
- Must be available to work all shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced working environment
- Manual Dexterity – computer use
- Prolonged viewing of computer screen
