Reporting to the Academic Chair Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering, you
are a key member of the school’s administrative team and responsible for
providing administrative support in a multifaceted, high paced environment. If

The Role
- Schedule meetings with students
- Student management – prepare forms; drop/add; intent to withdraw or return
- Monitor and review student intake reports
- Identify students at risk with Academic Chair and Instructor
- Obtain approval for student record changes
- Monitor student admissions – selection files, international
- Review student intake report for registration purposes
- Create student files by exception
- Request and organize Student Field Trips
- Liaise with Academic Chairs
- Prepare semester block reports (Instructor Schedule, Student Schedule, Class
Lists)
- Notify instructors when classes are cancelled
- Schedule rooms and students for exam week
- Schedule exam, classroom and students outside exam week
- Assist with program success initiatives involving industry, instructors and
students
- Develop and maintain program/course tracking sheet
- Additional duties as required
Qualifications
- Minimum of two (2) years of administrative experience in a fast-paced,
customer focused environment is required
- Must possess a High School Diploma, with a preference given to candidates
with post-secondary education in Administration, Business, or Marketing or
similar related field
- Work experience in a post-secondary environment is preferred
Skills & Knowledge
- Possess superior interpersonal, organizational and time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Intermediate computer skills in using Banner (electronic information
management database) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to take meeting minutes or notes
- Knowledge of general office equipment and procedures
