Closing Date: October 2, 2025 The British Columbia Investment Management Corporation (BCI) is currently seeking a Client Relations Co-op/Intern for the Winter 2026 work term (January to April). The Client Relations Co-op/Intern conducts research on a broad range of investment issues (e.g., capital markets, strategy, performance, and investment products), prepares reports and presentations for clients, and assists with the delivery of client meeting material. WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH You will work with the Client Relations team within our Investment Strategy & Risk department. The team manages all aspects of the business relationships with our institutional investor clients who have entrusted BCI to manage their collective capital and generate long-term wealth on their behalf. The team works to build long-term relationships based on trust and to ensure that we exceed our clients’ investment performance and service expectations. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING Support the efforts of the Client Relations team to proactively ensure that BCI exceeds our clients’ service expectations Conduct independent research and prepare reports/presentations on a wide range of investment topics for client meetings and for internal staff Develop a strong understanding of client needs and the specific investment objectives for various institutional investors (e.g., pensions, insurance, endowment) Develop client-ready responses to their requests – understand individual client needs/concerns and be able to tailor a response Assist with the coordination of client meetings, as well as organizing internal resources’ participation and attendance at client events Assist with client education by producing written materials and educational presentations Actively adheres to compliance and risk management policies and participates in BCI’s business continuity plan THE IDEAL STUDENT Has a keen interest in investments and a drive to continually learn about financial markets Demonstrates an ability to gather and process large amounts of data and information and present it in a concise manner Likes to solve problems using creative and innovative solutions Enjoys building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and team members.
