Your Role
As Data Engineer, the successful candidate will design, develop, and maintain data warehouses and ETL pipelines. They will work with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, SQL Server, Azure DevOps, and code in Python and PySpark to deliver reliable, high-quality BI solutions to support business decision-making.
Day to Day
Implement ETL processes using Microsoft Fabric.
Develop and maintain pipelines and Git repositories in Azure DevOps.
Assist in design, development, and optimization of SQL Server data warehouse solutions using star schema and dimensional modeling.
Perform advanced data analysis, including predictive modeling and statistical analysis to support decisions.
Develop and deploy reports, scorecards, and dashboards.
Optimize BI solutions for performance, scalability, and automation.
Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
Identify process failures and implement solutions to prevent recurrence
Assist in the designing, developing, and optimizing SQL Server data warehouse solutions using star schema and dimensional modeling.
Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical BI specifications.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
3+ years data warehouse/BI development with Microsoft technologies
Experience Microsoft Azure, Data Factory
Python development experience: Apache Spark/PySpark, Databricks, Delta Lake or similar
Experience with SQL Server, T-SQL, stored procedures, and query optimization
Proven experience in ETL/ELT development and maintenance
Strong understanding of dimensional modeling principles and experience implementing star
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in the agriculture industry
Experience with Microsoft Fabric
Microsoft Fabric DP-600 or DP-700 certification is an asset
Knowledge of machine learning development
