In this role, you will be an integral part of the Benefits Team, delivering excellent support and impeccable customer service to over 27,000 internal team members, over 22,000 retirees and other external customers across Canada. Reporting to the Benefits Administration Manager, you will work alongside the larger P&C Operations team to ensure we meet our commitments.

Here's how
Reporting to the P&C Manager – Benefits Administration, you will bring your A-game in the following responsibilities:
Act as the owner and senior subject matter expert on leave, benefits, and death administration of your assigned portfolio
Monitor shared Benefits mailbox to provide rapid counsel and support team members and leaders for a wide range of benefits and leave-related issues, including escalations and policy interpretation
Conduct regular audits of team member, payroll, and benefits data to ensure issues, anomalies and trends are identified and addressed in a timely manner
Ensure readiness for annual enrolment – participate in testing, and liaise with stakeholders to ensure processes and system updates related to benefit plan changes are complete
Responsible for in-depth analysis and definition of business needs and the design, development and delivery (including documentation, system testing, communication) on benefits administration projects
Create process documentation that will support effective cross training of roles within the team, and promote client service delivery responsiveness
Liaise with team members, impacted business units, partners and vendors on cross-functional implementation activities to meet deliverables
Maintain awareness of available technology and benefits administration trends that could contribute to the team’s operational efficiencies
Qualifications
You’re the missing piece of the puzzle:
At least 5 years of progressive experience in benefits and leave administration
Breadth of experience in benefit administration and implementation of design changes for flexible benefit plans
Strong numeracy and analytical skills with attention to detail – must have experience performing calculations and working with large reports
Proven advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite applications, especially Excel/Sheets
Strong understanding of statutory leaves in both federal and provincial environments
Knowledge of Canada Labour Code and provincial Employment Standards regulation
Post-secondary education in Human Resources or Business Administration
Critical thinker with a positive learning attitude
Exceptional customer focus with strong professional acumen and communication skills
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as a team player
Ability to navigate ambiguity and adapt to changing priorities
Great-to-haves
Bilingual in English and French, both written and verbal
Experience with Flexit360, SAP, Success Factors
Payroll experience and knowledge
Experience working in a unionized environment
CEBS GBA 1 and GBA 2 or willing to obtain
