Job Overview:
We are seeking an IPD Integration Coordinator to lead the integration of product development, compliance, and specification management into our SAP S/4HANA IPD module as part of our greenfield transformation. This role will act as a bridge between R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, and IT teams, ensuring that SAP IPD functionality is aligned with food manufacturing processes and that integrations with surrounding systems (PLM, LIMS, labelling, regulatory databases) are executed successfully.
Key Responsibilities:
Integration Planning & Coordination
Develop and maintain the IPD integration plan, ensuring alignment with the overall SAP transformation roadmap.
Coordinate integration activities between SAP IPD, manufacturing systems (MES, WMS), quality systems (LIMS, QMS), and regulatory platforms.
Serve as the central point of contact for IPD integration across business and technical teams.
Design & Validation
Work with functional consultants and architects to define integration requirements, data flows, and mapping rules for recipes, formulations, BOMs, and product specifications.
Ensure integration design supports food industry compliance (traceability, allergen management, nutritional labeling).
Participate in fit-to-standard workshops to validate that SAP IPD processes integrate seamlessly with manufacturing operations.
Execution & Testing
Oversee integration test cycles, including system integration testing (SIT) and user acceptance testing (UAT) for IPD-related processes.
Validate that master data and specifications flow correctly between systems.
Coordinate resolution of integration defects and escalate critical issues.
Governance & Reporting
Maintain an integration issue log and track progress against milestones.
Report regularly to the Program Manager and Data Governance Team on integration risks and dependencies.
Ensure all integrations meet security, compliance, and data governance standards.
Change & Training Support
Collaborate with Change Management to create user training and communication materials for new IPD integration processes.
Support business teams in adopting new workflows and resolving process integration challenges.
The Recipe for Success:
Bachelor’s degree in food science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
2+ years of experience in product lifecycle management (PLM), ERP data management, or SAP-related projects.
Experience in food manufacturing with knowledge of product development, quality, and regulatory processes.
Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of food manufacturing product data (recipes, allergens, nutritional data, labelling).
Knowledge of data integration and ETL concepts; experience with middleware (SAP Integration Suite, Boomi, MuleSoft, etc.) is a plus.
Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to manage multiple workstreams and resolve cross-functional issues quickly.
Familiarity with compliance frameworks (CFIA, FDA, HACCP, GxP) is desirable.
What we can offer:
As we grow, we are committed to preserving the parts of our diversity & culture that is unique, people-focused and are core to our success at every size. Our values of Quality, Direct Communication and Respect mean something.
Learning and growth; we are working to create an environment where sharing new ideas, experimenting and learning from each other is strongly encouraged.
